Terms of Use
Last updated: 17 June 2026
Welcome to the BAXALT website. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of this website, together with any content, functionality and services offered on or through it (collectively, the "Website"). The Website is operated by SLR Paris ("BAXALT", "we", "us" or "our"), which markets the BAXALT brand of premium outdoor kitchens.
By accessing, browsing or using the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Statement and Cookie information set out below. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Website.
We may revise these Terms at any time by amending this page. You are expected to check this page from time to time, as the version in force at the moment you use the Website is the version that applies to you. Where appropriate, we will indicate the date on which these Terms were last updated.
1. Ownership of Rights
All intellectual property rights in and relating to the Website and to the BAXALT brand — including the name "BAXALT", the BAXALT logo, product names, product designs, the look and feel of the Website, page layouts, graphics, photographs, illustrations, videos, configurators and other materials — are owned by or licensed to SLR Paris, or are used with the permission of the relevant rights owner.
Nothing on the Website should be construed as granting, by implication or otherwise, any licence or right to use any trade mark displayed on the Website without our prior written permission or that of the relevant third-party owner.
Except as expressly set out in these Terms, you acquire no right, title or interest in any intellectual property rights in or relating to the Website or its content. All rights are reserved.
2. Copyright
The contents of the Website are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Copyright in the Website and its content belongs to SLR Paris or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
You may view, download for caching purposes only, and print pages from the Website for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to the restrictions set out below.
You must not, without our prior written consent:
- republish, reproduce, duplicate or copy material from the Website (other than as expressly permitted above);
- sell, rent, sub-licence or otherwise commercially exploit material from the Website;
- reproduce, duplicate, copy or otherwise exploit material on the Website for a commercial purpose;
- edit, modify or otherwise alter any material on the Website; or
- redistribute material from the Website, except where content is specifically and expressly made available for redistribution.
Where content is made available for redistribution, it may only be redistributed within your organisation or as otherwise expressly permitted, and any copyright and other proprietary notices must be retained.
3. Accuracy of Content
We have taken reasonable care to ensure that the information on the Website is accurate and up to date at the time of publication. The Website describes BAXALT products, finishes, colours, materials, dimensions, prices and availability, and is intended to give you a general impression of our products and brand.
However, the Website is provided for general information only and is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. Product images, colour and material finishes, and stone or wood-effect representations are shown for illustration; natural materials such as volcanic and basalt rock vary in appearance, and the products you receive may differ from the images shown on screen.
Recommended retail prices, specifications, product ranges and availability may change without notice, and the Website may from time to time contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions. To the extent permitted by law, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content of the Website is accurate, complete or up to date.
Nothing on the Website constitutes a binding offer to sell, and details of products, prices and availability should be confirmed with us or with an authorised BAXALT partner before any purchase decision is made.
4. Password / Account Security
Certain areas of the Website, such as partner or reseller portals, may require registration and the use of a username and password or other login credentials. Where you are provided with, or choose, such credentials, you must treat them as confidential and you must not disclose them to any third party.
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account or login credentials. You must ensure that you log out from your account at the end of each session and take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to your credentials and the device from which you access the Website.
You must notify us immediately if you know or suspect that your login credentials have been lost, stolen or used by anyone other than you, or that there has been any other breach of security.
We have the right to disable any username, password or account, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these Terms or if we consider it necessary for security reasons.
5. Privacy Statement
We are committed to protecting your privacy and to handling your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, in France, the Loi Informatique et Libertés.
When you use the Website — for example, by submitting an enquiry, requesting a brochure or quotation, registering as a partner, or contacting us — we may collect and process personal data such as your name, company, email address, telephone number, postal address and the content of your communications with us.
We use this personal data to:
- respond to your enquiries and provide the information, products or services you request;
- manage our relationship with you and, where relevant, with our resellers and partners;
- administer and improve the Website and our products and services;
- send you communications you have requested or which are relevant to an existing relationship, where permitted by law; and
- comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract, our legitimate business interests, and our legal obligations, as appropriate to the relevant processing activity.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with service providers who act on our behalf (for example, hosting, IT and communications providers), with authorised BAXALT partners where relevant to your enquiry, and with authorities where required by law. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection in accordance with applicable law.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required to comply with our legal obligations.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, or for any question concerning the way we handle your personal data, please contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
6. About Cookies & the Way We Use Them
A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your computer or device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.
Our Website uses cookies and similar technologies. We use the following broad categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the operation of the Website, for example to enable you to navigate pages and to access secure areas such as partner portals. The Website cannot function properly without these cookies.
- Performance and analytics cookies — which allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the Website, so that we can improve the way it works.
- Functionality cookies — which are used to recognise you when you return to the Website and to remember your preferences, such as language or region.
- Targeting or marketing cookies — which may record your visit to the Website, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed, in order to make our communications more relevant to your interests. These may be set by us or by third parties.
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can set your browser to refuse all or some cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of the Website may become inaccessible or may not function properly.
Where required by law, we will request your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you may withdraw or change your consent at any time through the cookie settings made available on the Website.
7. Availability
The Website is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Website, or any content on it, will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. Access to the Website may be suspended, withdrawn, discontinued or changed, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice.
From time to time, access may be restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services. We will not be liable to you if, for any reason, the Website is unavailable at any time or for any period.
You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to the Website, and for ensuring that all persons who access the Website through your internet connection are aware of these Terms and comply with them.
8. Links to Other Websites
The Website may contain links to other websites and resources provided by third parties, including those of our authorised resellers and partners. These links are provided for your information and convenience only; we have no control over the contents of those websites or resources.
The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by us of the linked website, its operator or its content. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content, products, services, privacy practices or availability of any third-party website, or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. Your use of any linked website is at your own risk and subject to the terms and conditions of that website.
You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it. You must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists, nor frame the Website on any other site, without our prior written consent. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission at any time.
9. Exclusions of Liability
The material displayed on the Website is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we, and third parties connected to us, hereby expressly exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.
To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise — even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with:
- use of, or inability to use, the Website; or
- use of, or reliance on, any content displayed on the Website.
In particular, we will not be liable for any loss of profits, loss of business, business interruption, loss of business opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss or damage.
We do not guarantee that the Website will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform to access the Website, and you should use your own virus protection software. We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your equipment as a result of your use of the Website or your downloading of any content from it, or from any website linked to it.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10. Law, Jurisdiction & Language
These Terms, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by French law.
Subject to any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer under the law of the country in which you are resident, the courts of France shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms, their subject matter or their formation.
These Terms have been drawn up in the English language. Where these Terms are translated into any other language, the English language version shall prevail in the event of any inconsistency or conflict, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
